Dunno if this is in the right category.

We had a project in Design w/ Computers to create a photomontage. I was initially planning to do a mechanical horse, but seeing as no magazine had pictures of horses running, that was difficult. So a bird. I wanted one with it's mouth hinged open. I think I did pretty well, though the leg gear bothers me. It wouldn't darken, the little bitch.

That would be perfectly fine. As some information, the image of the bird is from a book about birds. The gears are from a free stock provider, and the metal pieces and screws are from photos I took myself.

Seeing this pic i get the urge to make a photo montage of my own ^^

Keep up to good work, and about the cogs for the legs; If your using photoshop you could always make a new layer, fill it with color and then get the opacity down a bit. Perhaps even a blending mode to make them darken a bit? Unless you've already tried that and it failed :P

mm, that's a good idea. I might try burning it again, but I think I'll just leave it alone and try something else some other time. I like throwing things together, haha.
